This guide will show you how to reset your own password when necessary.
1. When attempting to sign into Microsoft 365 or any other service that uses this account, you can click the "Forgot my password" button after entering your email address.

2. Next you will be taken to this page, enter the characters that show on your screen in the box highlighted with a red arrow (you won't get the same characters shown in the screenshot).

3. After this you will be taken to a screen showing the method that you can authenticate with which can vary from email, phone number, and authenticator application. In my example I have connected an alternative email address. Select the one you would like to use and proceed.

4. Because I chose the email address option, I received the below code to enter. If you chose your phone or authenticator app, you will be guided on screen how to do this. Using the phone option should allow you to chose a text code which will send an SMS to the provided phone number containing a 6 digit code, like the one below.

5. Once you have your code, enter it on the login screen you was initially on.

6. You can now enter a new password for your account, make sure you set a password that has at least one upper case, one lowercase, a number, and a special character to keep your account secure. In my example below, you can see an error that will show if you attempt to set a password that is too easy to guess.

7. You will now be able to get logged in using the link highlighted with a red arrow.

8. Lastly, you will receive an email that will have been sent to yourself as well as your alternative email address (if you have set one). This is a notification to make you aware that your password has been reset. If you receive this email when you have not reset your own password, contact our support immediately.
